Transport to Madrid

Madrid is the capital of Spain and therefore very well connected either by air or train.

Traveling by Plane

There are daily flights from most European and overseas countries to Madrid. Madrid's airport, located in the northeast of the city, is called Aeropuerto Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas. The complete airport information can be found at the airport web page.

Traveling by Train

Madrid is connected to many Spanish cities through a high-speed train service called Alta Velocidad Española (AVE), operated by Renfe, the Spanish national railway company, at speeds of up to 310 km/h. The list of connected cities includes: Alicante, Barcelona, Cordoba, Huesca, Malaga, Seville, Valladolid, Valencia. The complete list can be found at the corresponding Renfe web page. Madrid Puerta de Atocha is the primary rail-way station providing this service in Madrid.


Transport to Universidad Autónoma de Madrid

Universidad Autónoma de Madrid is very well connected by public transportation. It takes no more than 20 minutes to arrive from downtown Madrid. There are trains and buses providing this service. The commuter rail system of Madrid is called Cercanías. A map of the different lines can be found here.
